The Cournot Centre for Economic Studies offers every year five Robert Solow postdoctoral bursaries of 24,000 Euros each. The Scientific Committee chooses postdoctoral fellows based on their applications.

Recipients may undertake postdoctoral research at the host institution of their choice. The Cournot Centre itself does not act as a hosting institution for postdoctoral researchers, only as a funding institution.

Candidates MUST have been awarded their Ph.D. between 1 October 2008 and 1 October 2010. The fellowship is for 12 months and is not intended to supplement other research grants or a full-time salary.

Letters must be postmarked no later than February 12, 2010.  Applications by fax or email will not be accepted.  Applications must not be more than six (6) pages recto in length, including the cover page, and may be typed in a font size no smaller than 12, or handwritten in black ink.  Additional sheets should not be added.

The successful applicants for 2010-2011 academic year will be notified by 30 April 2010.
